Spark by ClickBank Review – New ClickBank Training Program Review

Welcome to our Spark by ClickBank Review!

ClickBank has just released their new training platform, called Spark by ClickBank… If you are here, you’re probably wondering if the course might be a scam or not.

First off, it’s great to see that you’re doing your research before buying into any “seemingly good” product.

That is how you avoid scams and find only legitimate ways to make money online!

To be completely transparent with you, we’re not associated with Spark by ClickBank in any form.  We’re not here to pitch or sell you anything.

Instead, we want to reveal everything you need to know about Spark by ClickBank, including all the background information, prices, course overview, pros/cons, and more…

Let’s get started with a quick product overview…

Spark by ClickBank Review Summary

Product Name: Spark by ClickBank

Founder: ClickBank

Product Type: Affiliate Marketing Training

Price: $37/month

Best For: Aspiring Affiliate Marketers wanting to promote ClickBank products

spark-by-clickbank-review-logo

Summary: Spark by ClickBank is basically a reboot of ClickBank’s previous training program which was called ClickBank University.  The training isn’t exactly high quality, and that is compounded by the fact that there are so many products on ClickBank that are either scams or a really low quality.

The training misses very important aspects of affiliate marketing, and I don’t believe this is actually worth your money…

What is ClickBank?

Before we explore what Spark by ClickBank is all about, we need to first cover off what ClickBank is…

clickbank-logo

If you’ve been doing affiliate marketing for a while, then you’ve probably already heard of ClickBank, and maybe even have promoted a few of their products from their market place too.

ClickBank is a digital marketplace (affiliate network) which connects owners of digital products, and affiliates who choose to promote those products for a commission.

They have a variety of products in many niches, although the biggest problem is the quality, or lack of with those products.

If you take the Make Money Online niche, the number of low quality products is shockingly high, or are even just awful scams that help nobody make money.

FYI – the majority of serious affiliate marketers, don’t promote ClickBank products…

ClickBank University

ClickBank used to offer a training program called ClickBank University, and this Spark by ClickBank is a revamped or rebooted version of this ClickBank University.  You can read our review of that here…

But fundamentally, it cost $97/month and claimed to help you make the most of promoting ClickBank products, but that still didn’t mean that it was actually that effective.

So, as we continue with our Spark by ClickBank review.  We will see what changes they have made, aside from the price to determine whether this training course is worthwhile…

Inside Spark by ClickBank

Like I said, Spark by ClickBank is a revamped version of the ClickBank University training course.  This CBU was the main training program previously offered by ClickBank.

Here’s a rundown of each course, and what they include…

Course 1: First Steps

The first course is an introduction to the training platform, and covers off what is included within Spark.  It also provides you with a link that explains how the ClickBank dashboard works…

Course 2: Internet Marketing 101

The second training course is an introduction to Affiliate Marketing.

Within this course, you’ll learn about the different types of internet marketing, these includes:

  • Performance Marketing
  • Affiliate Marketing
  • Direct Response Marketing

They will also teach you about various other aspects within Internet Marketing, some of these are:

  • Analytics
  • Open Rates
  • Click Through Rates (CTR)
  • Funnels
  • Pay Per Click

They then also share with you videos on the different marketing channels, these channels include:

  • Paid Search
  • Pay Per Click
  • Organic Search
  • Digital Display Advertising
  • Email Marketing

Course 3: How ClickBank Fits In

This third course then goes through how ClickBank fits and plays into your marketing strategy – basically, it’s a single video that shows you how to find a product within the ClickBank marketplace to promote.

Course 4: Digital Product Owners

If you have your own digital product and want to promote it through ClickBank, then this is what they cover off in this course.  They will teach you how the overall process works…

Course 5: Affiliate Marketing

This course is supposed to cover off Affiliate Marketing, but whilst it gives you a good overview, it doesn’t really go into too much detail, and is pretty short.  Affiliate Marketing is a huge topic, and the course doesn’t really cover it off well enough, in my opinion.

Course 6: Direct Response Psychology

This one covers off three steps, that they describe as the direct response psychology.  These are:

  1. Problem
  2. Agitate
  3. Solution

Basically, this is where you identify a problem, connect people looking for solutions to that problem, and then show them a product that gives them a solution, which is the product that you’re marketing/promoting.

Course 7: Compliance

This is a single video tutorial, which shows you what you need to do to stay compliant, so you don’t get into any issues with the FTC or any other Federal Agencies.

Course 8: What Makes An Online Offer (Ad Copy)

This course has ten short videos that describes the various pages and aspects that you need when you make an offer.

This includes:

  • Ad Copy
  • Landing Pages
  • Lead Magnets
  • Email Follow Up Sequences
  • Retargeting
  • Hoplinks
  • Sales Copy
  • Offer Page
  • Order Forms
  • Thank You pages

Course 9: Content Types

Creating Content is a fundamental prerequisite for your online business, so course 9 describes the different content types you can create to generate yourself organic traffic.

These content types include:

  • Blog
  • Long Form
  • Case Studies
  • White Papers
  • E-Books
  • Infographics
  • Templates Checklists
  • Video Content

Course 10: The Tools of Digital Marketing

Here you’ll learn about the different tools that you need as part of the process.

Some tools include:

  • Email Autoresponders
  • Click Tracking
  • Landing Page Creators
  • Graphic Programs

These are pretty standard tools, that almost every marketer uses.

Course 11: Outsourcing

This module is a single video that talks to you about how to outsource different aspects to freelancers, for example content creation.

You’ll also be given a few links to freelancer platforms where you can hire people to work on your website.

Course 12: Understand Memberships

Learn how to build a membership website, this again is a single video tutorial.

Course 13: Affiliate Quickstart Guide – Part 1

Here you’ll learn about what a ClickBank affiliate is, how to pick a niche, and which product you’re going to promote and market, etc.

Course 14: Affiliate Quickstart Guide – Part 2

This is the second part of the Affiliate Quickstart guide, and covers off email marketing:

  • What is an email list
  • How to build a lead magnet and opt-in form
  • Choosing an Email Autoresponder
  • Free Traffic

Course 15: Creating Your First Ad

This goes through paid advertising, and how to create your first ad.  The training covers off these topics:

  • Market Research
  • Choosing Your Marketing Channel
  • Creating Your Message
  • Campaign Optimisation & Analytics

Course 16: Digital Product Quickstart Guide – Part 1

Courses 16 and 17 are training courses on how to create and market your own digital product.  Course 16 includes:

  • How to use the ClickBank marketplace
  • Choosing your first product and outlining it
  • how to create your first product and pricing

Course 17: Digital Product Quickstart Guide – Part 2

The second part of the digital product quick-start guide has training covering:

  • Creating your sales page
  • Creating your thank you page
  • Launching on ClickBank
  • How to use Upsells
  • Using the ClickBank Affiliate Network

This concludes the training included at Spark at ClickBank.  You’ll also gain access to a private Facebook group where you can ask your questions, and get support.

Although I have seen reports showing that there aren’t that many in the group at the moment, and the majority of them are beginners, as you would expect, but that means it might harder for you to get the answers you need.

But what we really need to understand is how effective is the training within Spark by ClickBank?  Let’s answer this now…

P.S. This program helped us Create a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream.  It’s Free to get started, and is only $49/month to go full-time!  It offers training, support, tools, and a community of thousands to help you!

The Training is Really Basic...

If you’ve ever seen reviews for ClickBank University, you would know that the training included within that course was really basic, making it a really low-quality training course with a high price tag!

Spark does seem to be an improvement, but don’t think that this improvements have made it anywhere near worthwhile for a complete beginner.

The training is just not comprehensive and, is really short!

The majority of the videos are only a few minutes long, and doesn’t really cover the topics enough for a beginner to grasp the concepts they are trying to teach you.

An example would be the video on outsourcing, which is only four minutes long.  That topic is huge, and yet they aren’t helping you really get to terms with it, considering it is something you need to invest money into.

It’s a very complicated topic, and needs to be properly researched before diving into it…

That is just one example, but you get the idea, the training is really short throughout, and also doesn’t help you if you were trying to use affiliate products from other places, like Amazon or Awin, for example.

Haven't Made Your First $1 Yet?

Studies have shown that more than 70% of the people who want to make money online have not made their first dollar yet. So, you’re not alone!

Spark by ClickBank FAQ's

Here are some common questions and answers regarding Spark by ClickBank:

#1 How Much Is The Spark by ClickBank Training Course, & Is It Worth It?

The training course is a monthly subscription that is $37 per month.  This costs less than what they charged for their ClickBank University.  But I really don’t understand how they justify the monthly fee?

The training is really basic, and doesn’t really go into any detail on any of the topics they are teaching, which will lead people to have to do extra research on top of this.

Again, I don’t understand the monthly fee, unless all you are paying for is access to the private Facebook group.  But that isn’t enough to justify the price…

#2 How Long is the Course?

The course is spread over 17 courses or modules, which includes 70 videos.  These videos are really short though, and most of them are only a few minutes long each.

Depending on how long each day you spend on it, I could see this course being done within a week.

#3 What Does Spark by ClickBank Teach You?

Whilst the course covers a few different topics, the main aim of the course is to teach you about affiliate marketing, and creating a digital product to sell on ClickBank.

With regards to the affiliate marketing, they have a bigger focus on using paid advertising over free traffic methods, and so the free traffic training is even more basic as a result.

#4 Are There Any Real Testimonials?

The course is still really new, so there aren’t any testimonials at the moment, as people haven’t had time to use it and then see if it succeeded.

But due to the quality, or lack of, within this training I don’t see there being too many success stories…

#5 How Do You Pay For The Training Course?

They accept PayPal or any major credit card or debit card.

Just keep in mind, that this is a monthly subscription, so you will charged monthly.

#6 Do They Have a Refund Policy?

There’s a 30-day refund policy, which is a no-questions asked policy.

ClickBank can be criticised for many things, but they are good when it comes to their refund policy.

#7 Does the Training Material Get Updated?

As its a new course, this is hard to answer.  But if we go off ClickBank University, that did get updated over time, so hopefully the same can be said for Spark by ClickBank in the future.

They also provide webinars within the private Facebook group, so they might use these to update certain aspects of the training.

#8 Who Is This Training Course For?

This course seems to be tailored for people who want to learn about paid traffic/advertising for affiliate marketing, and someone who wants to learn how to create a digital product to sell on ClickBank.

#9 Are There Any Alternatives?

There are many affiliate marketing training courses out there, here’s a list of some you could research instead of Spark by ClickBank.

  1. Wealthy Affiliate
  2. Savage Affiliates
  3. Affiliate Marketing Mastery

What We Liked About Spark by ClickBank

Here’s what we liked about Spark by ClickBank:

#1 30-Day Money Back Guarantee

The training is really too basic for us to really have anything else to say that is good about Spark by ClickBank.  At least you can get your money back without much hassle, if you have do buy it…

What We Didn't Like About Spark by ClickBank

Here’s what we didn’t like about Spark by ClickBank:

#1 Low Quality Basic Training

The training is just too basic and low quality to really help you understand the topics they are trying to teach you.  They skim over certain topics, that really should include a lot more explanations about it for you to understand it.

The course might give a complete beginner the basic ideas and concepts to get started, but you would still need to go elsewhere to get more in-depth information for you to actually start doing it.

#2 Why the Recurring Monthly Fee?

The course itself doesn’t justify the addition of a monthly fee.  All you are paying for is access to the private Facebook group, which in its present state.

But even when their numbers grow, it will only be newbies in there, so it cannot really be classed as a great source of help. (Check out our #1, which has a thriving community of people who are at all levels of online marketing, there to help at any time!)

There just isn’t enough value to warrant a monthly recurring fee of $37!

#3 They Make It Sound Too Easy!

Throughout the training, you get the sense that your first commissions is just around the corner, or that solid income is a definite quick.

Unfortunately, the majority of ClickBank affiliates actually earn very little, even though they have put in tons of work…

#4 The Focus Is On Paid Traffic

Paid Traffic is effective, but is not something for beginners to play at.  If you already have a solid stream of income from your online business, then using some of that money to get paid traffic working for you makes sense.

But when you’re a complete beginner without any income, you will probably only end up in more debt whilst you use trial and error to see what works.

That is not something we could recommend to a beginner, you are better mastering free traffic generation methods, so that you know what works, and what doesn’t before you start paying for traffic.

Haven't Made Your First $1 Yet?

Studies have shown that more than 70% of the people who want to make money online have not made their first dollar yet. So, you’re not alone!

My Spark by ClickBank Review - Final Conclusion

Spark by ClickBank is an introductory course to affiliate marketing, ClickBank, and creating a digital product and selling it on the ClickBank marketplace.

But there are a few issues that make us not want to recommend this to you.  Aside from the usual issues with ClickBank, being a marketplace full of scams or low-quality digital products.

The training is just too basic, skims over important aspects that a beginner would benefit from hearing more about, and then charging you a monthly recurring fee to access a private Facebook group that doesn’t really offer enough value to warrant that fee.

Then they also only really focus on paid traffic methods, that means you need to be ready to dish out some more money to harness these methods.

You may learn some stuff, but I think you would not learn anything that you wouldn’t learn from YouTube or Google.

Here's A Better Alternative...

If you want to learn affiliate marketing, there are much better alternatives to Spark by ClickBank online.  ClickBank itself is a marketplace that is renowned for the products it has on their marketplace, and that isn’t a good thing.

If you are looking for a way to make money online, and a way that allows you to include a hobby or passion you have, then our #1 recommendation would be Wealthy Affiliate.

Their platform has helped thousands of people get started with their own online business using Affiliate Marketing.  They offer training, tools, a community (and I mean millions) there to help you every step of the way.

In fact, thanks to Affiliate Marketing and the training at Wealthy Affiliate, we’ve Create a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream… and what’s better it’s free to get started… Learn more about Wealthy Affiliate Here.
