What is Prime My Body?
Prime My Body is an MLM or Multi-Level Marketing company that is in the Health and Wellness sector.
They sell several kinds of nutritional supplements, with some of them infused with either hemp or CBD.
You can watch this 3-minute video to learn a little more about this company…
The company was founded in 2009 by John Taylor. Taylor was an entrepreneur businessman who wanted to bring out the full benefits of CBD and make it widestream.
Since then, he has built a company that has over 50,000 members.
But the sales pitch here is that John markets what he calls a “financial independence dream” where he tells people that they can earn thousands of dollars a week! He even says that he’s making $75,000 a week in the sales video.
Now, that is probably a reality for him, as he has an army of reps doing all the hard work. Any MLM tends to operate in a pyramid style structure, where the people at the top are always earning the big money, whilst the people at the bottom, really struggle to make ends meet.
But you have to factor in that success is really hard with MLM, and yet John is making it out that anyone can be earning thousands a week like he does…
Is Prime my Body A Pyramid Scheme?
This is a common question that gets raised whenever you start talking about any MLM, due to the recruitment aspect of the MLM business model.
But no, we don’t think that Prime My Body is a pyramid scheme. The members of the company are earning an income without having to recruit.
They can do this by selling the products of the company. Although, as with all MLM’s, the more prudent question to answer is whether or not Prime My Body is a pyramid scheme in disguise…
What is a Pyramid Scheme?
A pyramid scheme is a company that is promising payment in return for recruit members. They offer no real product or service to speak of.
It’s illegal in the majority of countries, and they are completely unsustainable. As the image from Wikipedia shows, there are not enough people on the planet to sustain a pyramid scheme past the 13th level:
The only people who really make money with a pyramid scheme are those that are behind it, or get in very early. But as soon as new members dry up, the income potential disappears. They have a really short lifespan.
The people who find success are those that are able to sell the idea of a business opportunity. Being able to spot a pyramid scheme, or pyramid scheme in disguise is crucial…
This 5-minute video will help you learn more about how to spot them…
Even though many MLM’s are legit, and not a pyramid scheme. They could still be a pyramid scheme in disguise, especially if there is too much pressure put onto recruitment…
They may have legit products, but the only way to really make money requires heavy recruitment – ergo a Pyramid Scheme in disguise…
Let’s now talk about the success rate at Prime My Body…
Success Is Rare at Prime My Body
This isn’t unique to Prime My Body, in fact the statistics show that between 73% and 99% of MLM representatives are losing money…
The main reason behind this is that most MLM’s put a monthly sales quota for members to achieve to remain active, and therefore can receive any commissions.
To be successful, you have to start selling straightaway, and selling big. If you’re unable to do this (which many don’t, as they lack the training to do it effectively), they have to then buy products themselves to the required level, to remain active.
At Prime My Body, that is 100PV (Personal Volume) a month, that means you either have to sell $100 worth of product a month, or buy $100 worth of product a month to remain active.
This is the main reason why MLM members are losing hundreds, or even thousands of dollars before they’re able to recruit one person into their downline…
MLM’s then make it that the only way you can get away from the need to buy these products, is to recruit an effective team.
Again, which brings us back to the pyramid scheme in disguise question…

How Does Prime My Body Work?
Prime My Body sells a range of CBD hemp products, that come i the form of nutritional supplements, creams, extracts, moisturisers, and lotions.
They also offer a business opportunity for people, where they can sell these products in return for a commissions.
Before we look into the business opportunity any further, let’s take a look at their product line…
Prime My Body Product Line
Prime My Body’s flagship products are its CBD oil with a specialised nano-enhanced help oil, allowing it to work immediately.
The following products are also infused with CBD oil and are considered their best sellers:
- Hydrate Pure – $119: A skin moisturiser composed of different kinds of botanical blends infused with hemp. Cleanses the skin, boosts cell regeneration, and gives an overall youthful glow
- Recept Hemp Extract – $108: Designed for fast-acting and long-lasting therapeutic benefits to calm the mind and body

- Hemp Nox – $219: Cleanses the skin of impurities with its powerful antioxidant-rich CBD oil
- Body Therapy – $89: Ointment for body pains like joint pains and muscle aches
- Lip Balm – $52: Hydrates the lips making it look fresh, it also gives a soothing sensation
Despite the companies claims made about their products, they are very similar to any of the other products that are on offer at all the other MLM companies in the health and wellness sector.
Here’s a list of some of the other MLM companies with similar products:
- B3 Sciences
- Jeunesse
- Younique
- Worldwide Dream Builders
All of them make similar claims about how good their products are, and their special ingredients that make them stand out. But the most important thing you need to know is whether the products work or not… Let’s discuss that now…
Does The Product Work?
In our research, we’ve found brand reviews from two different sources, and they typically say that Prime My Body has an average rating based on their quality, effectiveness, and price.
Hemp Headlines mentions that the products are effective and do the bare minimum expected of a CBD product, but they aren’t impressed with the price.
CBD Oil Review shares a similar view to Hemp Headlines, saying that the products are average in terms of quality, but that they are too expensive for what they are.
Can You Make Money with Prime My Body?
It might be possible for you to make money with Prime My Body… However, I think it will be extremely difficult for you to do it.
There will be some who are making decent money with this company, but that will usually be because they are really good at sales and/or recruitment.
But as the company doesn’t publish an income disclosure statement, there is no proof that anyone is actually making any money with this business opportunity…
How to Make Money with Prime My Body
Prime My Body is an MLM, and so there are the usual two ways for you to earn money. These are:
- Sell their products for retail commissions
- Recruit members and earn bonuses based on their sales
Getting Started with Prime My Body
There is an annual fee of $39 to pay to join and become a member of Prime My Body.
Then, you’ll be required to buy one of their starter kits. These kits cost anywhere between $199 to $1,071. There isn’t any detail about what is included in these starter kits, but I assume that they will include at least one of the brands we talked about before…
Here’s the list of started packs, and their prices…
- Personal Pack – $199
- Starter Pack – $357
- Business Pack – $714
- Sample Pack – $980
- Premium Pack – $1,071
- Premium Pack+ – $1,014
You aren’t required to purchase a pack to be eligible for recruitment commissions, although you have to recruit two people to be qualified to do so…
But the costs don’t stop there, you also need to factor in the hidden monthly costs…
Prime My Body Monthly Costs
This is something that MLM’s don’t make you aware of clearly enough when you start up with them… But there is a 100PV monthly requirement for you to remain an active member, therefore being eligible for earning any commissions.
100PV works out to $100. So, you’re required to sell $100 worth of product each month to remain active. If you cannot do this, you’ll need to buy $100 worth of products yourself.
Here’s the costs and expenses, you’ll need to factor into your first year with Prime My Body…
- $39
- $199 to $1,071
- $100 x 12 months
So, the minimum costs will be between $1,438 and $2,310!!
That is before you factor in any other costs or expenses that goes with running a business, like training, travel, etc.
P.S. This program enabled us to Create a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream. It’s Free to get started and costs only $49/month to go full-time!
Prime My Body Compensation Plan
Like I said, to remain eligible for commissions you’ll need to maintain a monthly order of $100 every month.
As for the rest of the compensation plan, it is just like any other MLM compensation plan, and that means its really complicated.
We’ll do our best to explain the main points you need to know…
Retail Profit
You get discounted prices for their products, or what you could call wholesale. You can then sell them for the retail price, and keep the difference, which is your profit.
Fast Builder Rewards
You get 25% commission of the initial Product Package price, when your recruits signs up and buys one.
Team Building Rewards
This works on a binary multilevel mode, so you get a left and right leg. You can place your recruits onto either side, and any purchases they make gets Reward Points for the whole team.
Whichever team generates the most RP is your Power Leg, whilst the other team becomes your Pay Leg.
The Pay Leg is what will be used to determine how much you’ll make on this reward.
Group Volume
GV is generated through RP earned by your group. This allows you to get promoted and to earn higher levels of bonus and reward.
Don’t worry if you’re still confused, I think MLM companies like you being like that.
Simply put, there are two main things you need to know to be able to make money with Prime My Body, and that is to either:
- Sell their Products
- Recruit New Members into your downline
If you want to know more about their compensation plan, the this 9-minute video will help you learn more…
You can also check out their full Prime My Body compensation plan.
Is Prime My Body A Scam?
No, I don’t think that Prime My Body is a scam… The company sells real products, and they also pay their members just like they say they do…
But the thing is this… many members get disappointed when they learn that the promise of financial freedom is just a marketing technique to get you into the scheme. Instead of making money, people are losing money.
When you factor in that between 73% and 99% of people lose money with MLM, that means many people become disillusioned with the promises these MLM companies make.
This disappoint and disillusion leads to many labelling them a scam. Whilst they are not a scam, the business opportunity is much harder than they try and make out, and I think this business opportunity will be like all the other MLM ones…
Not a great one!
The rest of our review will reveal the facts about this company, and allow you to come to an informed decision about whether or not this business opportunity is the right one for you…
Just to be completely transparent with you, I’m not a distributor of Prime My Body, nor do I endorse Prime My Body in any way. I have researched the website, testimonials, and information available on the internet to get the details about what this program genuinely does. I do this, as I have been caught out by a scam in the past, and am trying to help others avoid a similar fate…

What We Liked About Prime My Body
Here’s what we liked about Prime My Body:
#1 Established MLM
Did you know the average lifespan of an MLM company is around the 5-year mark?
Well, Prime My Body has been operating for more than ten years, as it was founded back in 2009. This shows they haven’t been in any trouble with the authorities, and it’s a good sign this company isn’t going anywhere.
#2 Positive Product Reviews
CBD oils are becoming the go-to products for a lot of health and wellness enthusiasts, and there is some scientific claims that show that these products do have benefits.
Alongside the decent product reviews from their customers about their quality, so there’s little doubt that the products work like they promise.
What We Didn't Like About Prime My Body
Here’s what we didn’t like about Prime My Body:
#1 The Products Are Expensive
One of the biggest issues about their product line is that their products are really expensive. This makes it harder for you to sell the products, as they can find cheaper, and better alternatives elsewhere online.
When you compare the prices we quoted earlier for Prime My Body products against those that are available from Amazon, for example. There is a huge price difference…
Just look at the examples above, why are customers going to pay your prices, when they can get them for a much lower price. This is just one of the issues you’ll have when trying to make it with Prime My Body…
#2 Low Income Potential
Prime My Body doesn’t publish an income disclosure statement, so I think it’s pretty safe to assume that they don’t want to share any data about how much their members are making.
I think it’s also safe to assume, their members aren’t making any money at all…
#3 Crowded Niche
Your success will be based on how well you can crack the health and wellness niche. You’ll be up against all of the other MLM reps and their products, and all of the commercial brands that are all cheaper products. With them normally having a better quality too.
So, the chances you are going to convince people to buy your overpriced, average quality products are really low!
#4 Hidden Monthly Expenses
You will need to sell 100PV or $100 worth of product every month, just to remain active.
If you’re unable to do this, you’ll have no choice other than buying them for yourself (or walking away losing any money you’ve already invested).
What the MLM companies don’t want you to know is that they biggest customer base is their members (reps).
They keep on buying the products in the hope that next month will be the month they achieve their financial freedom they were promised.
#5 Is Prime My Body A Pyramid Scheme in Disguise?
When you think that you have to spend $100 per month just to stay active, there is only one way to avoid that. To avoid this, you need to recruit members into your downline. If you have enough recruits, and they are good at sales…
But, then it also starts to look a little like this…
If you can recruit people, then to pressure to meet this 100PV gets past onto them…
It’s a nasty circle, and why many people start to label MLM’s as a scam, or a pyramid scheme, or both.
The bottom line, MLM is tough and requires a certain individual… The MLM’s are not upfront in the first place, but if they recruit someone, they get a customer.
They don’t seem bothered if you don’t make a sale or not, as they know you will buy at least a few products…
#6 Interest is Waning
I like to take a look at Google trends to see how much interest there is in the brand, are people interested in this brand…
Well, here’s what I saw…
That isn’t a great sign… this only shows that you’ll have a hard time selling these products, when no one has heard of them, they are more expensive than others, and they only receive average feedback…

My Prime My Body Review
There is little doubt that Prime My Body is a legitimate MLM company, offering a range of interesting products. The products receive positive feedback from customers, but price is the biggest issue with them, as many MLM products do.
But as for their business opportunity, the income potential is really low, and there’s no real proof that any members are actually earning a decent income.
Their products are expensive, and are in a heavily crowded niche. Their sales quota forcing members to spend at least $100 a month, also makes this a risky move. Then there is the fact that no one really knows about the brand either.
All in all, I think there are much better business opportunities out there, and I don’t believe this will live up to the hype that they try to create with their sales video.
Will this help you achieve financial freedom? No, I don’t believe it will…
How We Make Money Online
I’m not a fan of MLM, not because it’s illegal or not profitable, but because of all the restrictions and expensive costs involved.
Instead, Affiliate Marketing is our top recommended business model for anyone looking to make money online
The reasons are simple…
- You can promote anything you want and aren’t restricted to only promote products from one MLM company
- You don’t have to recruit anyone to make money
- You never need to sell to your friends and family
- It’s free to get started
In fact, with affiliate marketing we’ve been able to Create a 4-Figure Monthly Passive Income Stream. If you want to learn more, click here.

Sharing is Caring…
Haha thanks for the article my guy! To be completely honest with you, I actually found this article really helpful. I think it’s terrible that there’s still people out there trying to scam beginners trying to make money online. Then after they get scammed, they reject making money online as a whole and resort to a normal job. I see scams like this all the time, and I make sure to report them every time, in the hopes that they’ll get shut down and stop scamming people. Thanks for warning us; I’ll make sure to steer clear from Prime My Body.
Hiya,
thanks for checking out our review. I would just point out that Prime My Body is not a scam. It is a legitimate company. The problem is the people trying to sell the business opportunity, so they can build a downline. That is where the problem comes in.
People are so desperate to recruit people, they mislead them into thinking it’s an awesome opportunity, and they often hide the fact they are really struggling to meet their sales quota, and all the other costs that go with the business.
They upline is probably pressuring them into recruiting too, as it helps them with the same problem. That is why it ends up being all but a pyramid scheme in name.
I’m not saying everyone will fall into the same problems. But you need to ask yourself if you really geared up for high-stress sales and recruitment, as that is what you need to be able to do to make this work.
It is a business at the end of the day. The start up costs are not always as straightforward as the company makes out, and people find they are out of pocket straightaway. A business requires you to commit at least a year on the startup phase, but MLM makes it so difficult to get past the two month mark.
Thanks again for checking out our review!!
All the best,
John
