Summary: Affiliate Marketing Academy is a pretty decent training course that teaches you how to get started with Affiliate Marketing.  However, there are a few issues with it.  First there is the cost of the course, at $997 it’s really expensive and there are better options for a much better price.

Then there is the sketchy past the course creator, Vick Strizheus has.  It isn’t a good story…  There are much better options out there, so we would recommend you don’t pay for it…

What is Affiliate Marketing Academy?

The Affiliate Marketing Academy is a training course designed to take you through the steps needed to get started with Affiliate Marketing.  But it’s a typical affiliate marketing training course, and what we mean by that is there doesn’t seem to be anything special to prove it is worth $997.

The training inside will cover off the following points:

  • How to set up your affiliate marketing business before you even start
  • Mindset training
  • How to choose affiliate marketing programs to join
  • Copywriting tips to make the most sales possible
  • Affiliate Marketing principles
  • How to use various traffic sources to make sales
  • Conversion techniques

Like I said, this is pretty standard stuff for a course.

Affiliate Marketing is a simple premise, you pick an affiliate program and then work to get your offer in front of your target audience.

There are plenty of ways to get your offer in front of people.  For example, you could do it for free with blogging, or using YouTube.  Or you could go down the paid route and use paid traffic from Facebook Ads, Google Ads, etc.

The bigger problem isn’t the method.  It’s people like Vick who try to make out it is super complicated, and you require a special selling technique to make sales and you can only do it with his help…

But the truth is, you only really need sales techniques when you’re trying to sell high-ticket products that cost a really high amount.

Sadly, Vick is not really out to help you, he is more interested in selling you a typical course for a really high amount and take the money.

Let’s go into more detail about this Vick Strizheus, like I said, he has a sketchy past…

Who's Vick Strizheus?

Vick Strizheus is the guy who created Affiliate Marketing Academy, and he has several red flags that we should be worried about.

First off, Vick was arrested and jailed in 2009 for insurance fraud.  Allegedly, he was faking insurance policies and collected $30,000 in commissions.  He was sentenced to 90 days in jail, and was put on probation for 5 years…

Vick claims to have learned the lessons from these, and everyone deserves a second chance, right?

But sadly, the red flags don’t stop there…

After this incident, he started a project called Big Idea Mastermind.  This actually was just a program within a wider scam called Empower Network.

Empower Network was just a Pyramid Scheme that went bankrupt recently.

Now Vick runs 4 Percent Group where he sells various courses about internet marketing.

I suppose the bigger questions is whether you trust him or not?  I’m certainly not convinced he’s out to help people.  Seems to me, he’s more interested in making more money at any cost…

How Does Affiliate Marketing Academy Work?

This is a training course, compiled of 30 modules.  If you want to take a look at what the inside looks like, have a look at this video:

The content doesn’t appear to be anything special, and nothing to convince me that it’s worth $997.  So, let’s discuss the cost point now…

Haven't Made Your First $1 Yet?

Studies have shown that more than 70% of the people who want to make money online have not made their first dollar yet. So, you’re not alone!

Is Affiliate Marketing Academy Worth $997?

I don’t think there is anything that makes this course worth spending $997 on it.

Affiliate Marketing is not a complicated process, it just requires the right strategy, and Vick tries to make it sound a lot more complicated than it actually is.

There are many affiliate training courses that train in the best methods out there, that were nowhere near that price point.  Take Savage Affiliates or Wealthy Affiliate, both offer great training programs and aren’t that expensive to get started…

What We Liked About Affiliate Marketing Academy

Here’s what we liked about Affiliate Marketing Academy:

#1 Decent Training

There are those that have claimed they have found success from this training course, and in essence it is a decent training course for getting started with Affiliate Marketing.

#2 Good Refund Policy

There’s a 30day money back refund policy, and what makes it better is that it’s a no questions asked refund policy.

Many refund policies make it really difficult to actually get a refund, like proving that you have done a certain amount of the course, etc.

However… whilst we say that, Vick is a little sketchy, and with his background being based on pyramid schemes.  You only get involved in pyramid schemes if you just don’t care if people lose money, as long as you are making money.

So, whilst there is technically a no questions asked refund, whether it is honoured or not, I’ll leave that up for debate.

What We Didn't Like About Affiliate Marketing Academy

Here’s what we didn’t like about Affiliate Marketing Academy:

#1 Vick’s Scammy Past

There is no getting away from Vick’s past.  If he had had the initial problems, then turned a new leaf, then great.  To go straight into a known pyramid scheme, shows he’s more interested in making money from people, rather than helping people in turn for income.

Empower Network was a huge scam and likely lost his followers millions in dollars worth…

#2 Too Expensive

Affiliate Marketing is not a difficult marketing method to learn, but some make it out to be complicated, so they convince you that you need to spend $997 on a course, that promises to reveal secrets.  But there aren’t really any secrets.  Especially not worth you spending $997 on them.

Haven't Made Your First $1 Yet?

Studies have shown that more than 70% of the people who want to make money online have not made their first dollar yet. So, you’re not alone!

Is Affiliate Marketing Academy a Scam?

I don’t think there is any reason to think that the course itself is a scam.  It does include training that will help you get started with affiliate marketing.

But there is a case to consider whether Vick Strizheus is a scammer.  He doesn’t seem to have learned from his past, and went straight into another known scam called Empower Network.

The course may be legit, but I’m not sure of whether you can trust Vick…

A Better Opportunity...

I wouldn’t recommend you spend $997 on a course, when you could learn effective marketing methods for affiliate marketing with training providers with a much better track-record and much lower investment point.

If you want to learn affiliate marketing, you could try Savage Affiliates which will cost you $197/$297, or you could get started with our #1 recommended training provider, Wealthy Affiliate, for FREE!
