Welcome to Our ARIIX Review!

MLM companies appear very attractive to people who are looking to earn extra money or have a more flexible work life.  MLM companies are good at making it look like all the hard work is done for you and all you need to do is sell their products and earn some cash…

But is that the reality?  Well, our experiences tells us that is simply not the case.

Today we look at ARIIX to see if it can buck the trend and offer an opportunity that works, but with products that lack FDA approval which they try to hide that fact from you, the odds do not look good.

In our review, we will reveal all you need to know about this company, including how it all works, how much you could earn and ultimately our honest opinion about ARIIX.

Summary:  ARIIX is a legitimate MLM company that offers health and wellness products.  They offer a wide selection of quality products, but the main drawbacks are the expensive membership fees, hard to understand compensation plan, saturated market and the heavy focus on recruitment, we feel it is going to be a tough task to make money with them, unless you have the experience already.

What is ARIIX?

ARIIX is an MLM or Multi-Level Marketing company offering a range of health and wellness products ranging from nutritional supplements to skincare products and water bottles.  It was founded in 2011 by Fred Cooper and a group of other executives.  All of which had previously been involved in USANA Health Sciences, a leading nutritional supplement company.

They are currently based in Utah, USA and operate in around 23 different countries.  These include:

  • USA
  • China
  • Canada
  • Japan
  • United Kingdom
  • European Union
  • Australia

They mainly focus on nutritional supplements but do also have a range of health products.

USANA Health Sciences considers ARRIX to be one of the top 5000 companies in terms of growth and revenue.  It is ranked 3629 with an estimated $219.8 million in revenue last year.

They have been accredited with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) for 9 years, holds an A+ rating and has a 3-star rating on their BBB profile page.

The ARIIX Product Line

ARIIX is in the health niche, offering mainly health and wellness products such as supplements, skincare products, weight loss product and body care products.

But they have also done something rather unique for an MLM.  And this is they offer you a wider variety of products by promoting other brands within the same company.

These are the products that are offered from the different brands that ARIIX sells:

  • Nutrifii – supplements for detoxification, calcium therapy, heart and brain support, etc.
  • PureNourish – a supplement that enhances digestion and optimal nutrient absorption
  • Jouve – skincare product line including night cream, brightening cream and tightening serum, etc.
  • Slenderiix – weight-loss products
  • Puritii – sells water and air filtration systems

Just note that because ARIIX is an MLM, their products have the MLM price tag.  Who would pay $47 for a stainless-steel water bottle?  You can get them much cheaper elsewhere.

Are ARIIX Products Worth Their Price?

The secret to success with MLM all hinges on the quality of the products available from that MLM.  IF the products are no good, you will get no repeat sales.

ARIIX has scientific advisory boards that examine each product before they put their stamp of approval on them.  This is supposed to ensure that their products are of top quality.

But it is really difficult to answer the question about ARIIX products being worth the price, when they are not FDA approved.  We couldn’t find any independent research to back up their product claims either.

But we did find that they are misleading people, though.

The image below shows the sales page for their Revive shampoo on the U.S. site.  You will notice there is no mention of the FDA:

ariix us sales page

Yet the image below, is from the U.K. site:

You will notice that they are using the US FDA logo to give their products credibility it doesn’t deserve.

I live in the UK, so if I visited it this it looks like they have FDA backing.

This is a little naughty on behalf of ARIIX, it could also be considered that they are misleading people.

How to Make Money with ARIIX?

Like other MLM’s, such as {insert some}, ARIIX provides you with two ways to make money with their compensation plan:

  1. Retail Commission – Sell products to consumers for commissions
  2. Recruitment Commissions – recruit a team (downline) for commissions and bonuses.

It is often because of this second option that many people consider MLM companies to be a Pyramid Scheme.  Let’s explore this now, is ARIIX a pyramid scheme?

Haven't Made Your First $1 Yet?

Studies have shown that more than 70% of the people who want to make money online have not made their first dollar yet. So, you’re not alone!

Is ARIIX a Pyramid Scheme?

The question always comes up when you start talking about an MLM, as to whether it is a pyramid scheme.

The short answer is that no, ARIIX is not a pyramid scheme.  But it does have elements of one.

Let me explain…

The main difference between MLM and Pyramid Schemes is whether the company has products or not.  Pyramid schemes offer recruitment as the only way to make money with them.

As ARIIX has products, so is definitely an MLM. It also offers bonuses based on recruitment too.

Whilst ARIIX is a real legit MLM company, it does have elements of a pyramid scheme because to maximise your earnings, you have to recruit people.

The real money in ARIIX, and most other MLM’s is made not from selling their products but in recruiting downlines.

The more recruits, you have the more you will earn.  You can see this in the graphic below:

pyramid-scheme-graphic

The people who can get to the top make the most money whilst those at the bottom earn very little, if they earn anything at all in exchange for their investment and hard work.

The other reason we say it isn’t a Pyramid scheme is the fact you do not need to recruit to make money with ARIIX.

Success is Rare at ARIIX

There is a common theme with MLM, and it is one of the main reasons why we do not recommend MLM to people and that is the extremely low success rate.

Earning a decent wage out of ARIIX is going to be extremely difficult.  You either have to be excellent at sales or have a lot of connections to succeed.  Most people end up losing their money.  In fact, stats show 73% – 99% of people lose their money through MLM.

ARIIX is no different.

In their average earnings report, you can see how much their “representatives” or distributors earn on average each year and it doesn’t show a great picture for a potential distributor with ARIIX.

ARIIX-income-disclosure

Here are the key stats from ARIIX:

  • 5% of their representatives make only $70 a week
  • 25% only make $167
  • Only 13% make $275

The bottom line is that in total, 89.9% of their distributors make less than $275 a week. That is a shockingly low statistic and shows the difficulty in getting started with an MLM.

On the other end of the scale, only 0.1% of their members are earning an average of $21.861.

What Makes It Hard to Succeed at ARIIX?

There are two major struggles that ARIIX distributors will have:

ARIIX Products Are Really Expensive

The first struggle you will have, is that their products are really expensive.  Their Optimals vitamin and mineral supplement has a retail price of $112.79 for one bottle of 56 capsules!

{You can see their full price list here)

Now there are some who can afford those kinds of prices for a supplement, but you would need to be excellent at marketing to find that group of people.

You have to also factor in that, whilst they claim their products have awesome health benefits, every other MLM makes the same claim.  In fact, any health and wellness company in the world make those claims.

People have often already been using a brand that they regularly use, so you need to think about your ability to convince people to change from a trusted brand and going with yours…

Reliance on Traditional Marketing

Then you have to consider that MLM’s still require on outdated marketing methods.  More and more people are buying products online, and yet MLM has not caught up with that yet.  They are more interested in getting people to keep selling products directly from either home parties or door-to-door sales.

With the price of the products being really high, an over-saturated health and wellness sector and your current experience with sales, can you really make this work for yourself?

The income disclosure statement kind of says that this is going to be an extremely difficult road.

If you really want to earn money online without the risks and restrictions that go with MLM, you may want to consider Affiliate Marketing.  With Affiliate Marketing, you have a much higher chance of success because your success will depend solely on your efforts and not on other people.  If you want to learn more about Affiliate Marketing, Click HERE.

Getting Started with ARIIX

Besides the products being hugely overpriced, the cost of enrolling in their business opportunity is really expensive too.  ARIIX has 9 enrolment packages, each with a different fee and includes products.

Here is an overview of the different packages and what you’ll get for each:

  1. Nutrifii Member Pack – $421.36 (with possible discount of up to $294.95); includes 5 products
  2. Slenderiiz Plus Member Pack – $428.50 (with possible discount of up to $299.95); includes 5 products
  3. Nutrifii Business Pack – $749.95, includes 15 products
  4. Slenderiiz Business Pack – $711.95, includes 10 products
  5. Jouve Business Pack – $749.95; includes 25 products
  6. Business Pack 500 – $789, includes 13 products
  7. Elite Pack – $1,414.95, includes 43 products
  8. Ultimate Pack – $2,098, includes 63 products

Each of these levels has additional perks.  For example, the Ultimate pack entitles you to coaching sessions, early product access, executive webinars, and more.

Although there are ways to qualify for bigger discounts, such as enrolling in what they call “IIX Membership” which, will cost you $150.

The problem you have is, if you want to provide more options to buyers, then you will need to buy other business packs to gain access to those products.  This means you will need to spend thousands to unlock all the different ranges and products.

Your sponsor will try and get you to buy the most expensive pack too, as they will earn a bigger commission.  But they will try to convince you it is the only way for you to make the money you need.

Then there is another thing to consider.

To remain eligible for commissions, you will need to achieve a sales volume of 100PV per month.  This is equivalent to $148 per month of sales.

This often leads to distributors buying that much each month in the hope of staying qualified for commissions.  But if you are not making sales every month, and you are spending $148 a month on products – that can only lead to a huge pile of debt!!

You also have to pay a $25 annual renewal fee.  This just goes to show this is a really expensive start-up where the stats show that 89.9% of people are only earning less than they have to spend to stay qualified for commissions.

ARIIX Compensation Plan Explained

MLMs tend to have overly complicated compensation plans that are hard to understand. So, we have done our best to just go through the major points you need to know.

ARIIX uses a unique and innovate commission structure called “Multi-Line”.

With the multi-line structure, distributors can earn on infinite width and depth, wildly expanding the potential to earn more money.

Main Ways to Earn Money with ARIIX

Formally know as “Activ8”, ARIIX’s compensation plan allows you to make money in the following ways:

  • Retail Commissions – as an ARIIX representative, you can buy products at their wholesale price and then sell it at a retail price. The difference is your profit.
  • Recruitment Commissions – once you have enrolled in one of their packages, you will be eligible for commissions for recruiting others. To earn the commission, you need to have a PV equivalent of $148.
  • Team Lead Bonus – A special kind of bonus that you will get from customer and member sales in their first month. The higher your business level (or enrolment package), the higher your team lead bonus is.  Your sponsors will also likely use this to entice you to enrol in their high-level packages
  • Other Bonuses – the Activ8 compensation plan offers a whole list of bonuses that you can claim by meeting certain conditions. If you want to see their compensation plan in detail, click HERE.

What We Liked About ARIIX

Here is what we liked about ARIIX:

Scientific Advisory Board

ARIIX has a dedicated scientific advisory board to ensure the quality of all their products.  It is the only MLM that we have come across that has this safeguard.  All of the members of this advisory board have higher education on their area of expertise.  It also has a Wellness Council that focuses on preventable health maintenance.

Range of Products to Choose From

ARIIX offers a wide selection of products to choose from.  It is like a mix and match thing; you can choose what you want to sell based on which business pack you buy.

What We Didn't Like About ARIIX

Here is what we didn’t like about ARIIX:

Products Are Not FDA Approved

This is normal for an MLM to not have FDA approval, but the fact they are showing the logo on the UK store, this is sort of misleading anyone who is not from the USA.

Start Up Packages Are Really Expensive

The packages you have to buy before you can qualify to make sales, are really expensive.  You are also required to buy other packs if you want to broaden the products you offer.

Privacy Issues

According to their terms and conditions, you agree to allow ARIIX to use your name, photo and personal story in any advertising and/or promotional material.  This includes any remuneration claims.  It isn’t necessarily a concern, just something that you should be aware of.

Monthly Sales Target to Qualify for Commissions

We said this earlier, but this needs saying again.  To qualify for commission, you are going to need to sell at least $148 worth of product each month.  If you don’t, you will need to buy that amount of product yourself.  This often is the reason why so many people end up in debt.

Can You Make Money with ARIIX?

If you have the funds to get started and have the ability to sell these products in a heavily saturated market and can build up a team of effective sellers under you, then you have a chance of making money with ARIIX.

But it should still be noted that 89.9% of their current distributors are earning less than $275 a week, you also have to factor in your monthly PV quota.

If you have experience with sales and recruitment already in the health and wellness sector, you might be able to turn this into a business opportunity for you.

Is ARIIX a Scam?

ARIIX is a legitimate MLM or Multi-Level Marketing company.  The problem isn’t with the company itself, but with the business opportunity.  More and more people are shopping online, and this is making it more difficult for MLM’s that are still relying on traditional methods of marketing.

If more MLM’s spend more time on how to incorporate Internet Marketing, their distributors might have more success.  But for now, this is going to be a difficult opportunity.

My ARIIX Review - Final Conclusion

ARIIX, like all MLMs, require that you make sales and recruit members.  MLM’s are extremely high pressure and you only make commissions on your sales and the sales of your recruits.  Not to mention that in order to remain eligible for commission, you have to purchase a minimum number of products per month.  There is no base pay.  So, it is entirely possible that you could spend a lot of money to get started here and end up with nothing to show for it.

If you want to create your own business with a flexible work schedule, check out our #1 recommendation on how to get started.  You won’t have to spend any money to get started and you’ll get a ton of free stuff including a free website, free training and hosting and lots of great resources.

How We Make Money Online

We are not a fan of MLM, not because it is illegal or that it isn’t profitable, but because it is really restrictive, and the expensive costs involved.

That is why we recommend Affiliate Marketing.  It is our top recommended business model for anyone wanting to make money online.

The reasons are simple…

  • You don’t have to recruit anyone to make money
  • You have the freedom to promote any products or services you want and not get restricted by only promoting products from one MLM company
  • NO face-to-face Selling is involved
  • It is FREE to get started

In fact, with affiliate marketing we are close to earning a 4-figure monthly passive income stream.  With the right help and guidance, you can too.  Click HERE to find out about our top recommended training platform for learning affiliate marketing:
