Affiliate Blogger Pro Review: Irrelevant & Outdated?

Welcome to our Affiliate Blogger Pro Review!

Affiliate Blogger Pro launched in 2009, but has it stood the test of time?  Is it still relevant in today’s world?  We will answer all of your questions in our Affiliate Blogger Pro Review.

The Affiliate Blogger Pro course launched by Rosalind Gardner in 2009 used to be cutting edge and it definitely used to help people make money online, but that is the key point it used to.  We wanted to know if it still could.

First off, it’s great to see that you’re doing your research before buying into any “seemingly good” product.

That is how you avoid scams and find only legitimate ways to make money online!

To be completely transparent with you, we’re not associated with Affiliate Blogger Pro in any form.  We’re not here to pitch or sell you anything.

Instead, we want to reveal to you what this training course is about, and whether it’s still relevant to modern day affiliate marketing, or if it’s totally outdated…

(As we write this, the course is currently not open when you visit their website.  But it was supposed to have opened again in June 2019.  But we are now in September?)

Affiliate Blogger Pro Review

Summary: Affiliate Blogger Pro is an affiliate marketing training course.  But the affiliate marketing world has evolved so much since 2009, and Affiliate Blogger Pro has done nothing to keep their content relevant to todays market.

They teach outdated techniques and there is no active support or community.  There are also no tools included.  It might have been a good offering, when it first came out.  But without some major updates, this is just simply not worth it…

What is Affiliate Blogger Pro?

Affiliate Blogger Pro can also be known as Rosalind Gardner’s Academy, and it is an online course which has the aim of teaching beginners on how to be successful in affiliate marketing.

Affiliate Marketing is a great way of making money online and is the way we make money, so wanting to learn how to successful is reasonable.

The main training consists of 10 modules, with multiple tutorials within those 10 modules.  It works out to over 225 tutorials.  There are also video training, various articles and quizzes that are there to assist you in learning all about affiliate marketing.

All of the training within the Affiliate Blogger Pro platform is aimed at the complete beginner and is very in-depth but written so anyone can understand it.  Although, we must point out that all of the training is based on Rosalind’s book from 2003 and the training is simply not up-to-date with the current affiliate marketing world.

They cover most of the important aspects of building an affiliate marketing business, including:

So far, so good.  This looks like a good course. Now, let’s look at who founded the course:

Who's Behind Affiliate Blogger Pro

Rosalind Gardner – Founder of Affiliate Blogger Pro

Rosalind has been making a full-time income online since 1998 and has become a very influential mentor and coach helping many people achieve their own full-time incomes online.  Anyone who goes to the various conferences will have heard Rosalind speak on various subjects.

She also has 2 best-selling books out there:

rosalind-gardner

The first book from 2003 is the basis for the content of the Affiliate Blogging Pro course.  So, we know Rosalind Gardner is experienced, knows her stuff and shares it via this course, but you might be thinking why we aren’t recommending what looks like a good course.

Well, the key point which we will get into is the fact that the course is based on stuff from 2003 and the world moves very fast, especially online and the course needs to stay up-to-date and quite frankly that hasn’t happened.

Haven't Made Your First $1 Yet?

Studies have shown that more than 70% of the people who want to make money online have not made their first dollar yet. So, you’re not alone!

What We Liked About Affiliate Blogger Pro

Here is what we liked about Affiliate Blogger Pro:

#1 Reputable Owner

Rosalind has a lot of creditability online and is a very successful and well-respected internet marketer.  She definitely knows her stuff and you can see that within the content of her course and the books she has had published.

#2 Reasonable Price & No Upsell

When you have been in the affiliate marketing world for a while, you will learn that upsells are everywhere.  You are told it is only going to cost a few dollars, and then when you get inside you find that you have to spend a fortune to get the program to do what they told it would do in the first place.  But this isn’t the case with the Affiliate Blogger Pro.  You can access to everything with just a $27 a month subscription.

#3 No Hype, Just Honesty

Another thing I liked is that there is no hype.  They are not promising this will make you money instantly or over a short period of time because that would be false.  Affiliate Marketing requires you to put some effort in and Rosalind markets this product with that in mind.

You will see some promising you that you will be earning thousands within a couple of days just so you sign up.

#4 56-Day Money Back Guarantee

Pretty much, 2 months to play with to see if you actually like what you have signed up for.  This is quite a long period and shows that she wants you to make sure you are happy with what you are signing up for.

What We Didn't Like About Affiliate Blogger Pro

Whilst, it might sound like Affiliate Marketing Pro, we wouldn’t recommend you invest into it because of the following reasons:

#1 The Training is Out of Date

Time moves very quickly online, and the AFP course was created in 2009 from the content in her book from 2003.  The course just doesn’t stand up to everything that is current with affiliate marketing, the search engines and strategies that work today.

There are lessons that teach you how to:

  • Use free & Paid Directory Listings
  • Post Articles on Article Directories
  • Buy Backlinks

These three strategies are all outdated and do not work for you these days.  Google and the other search engines have updated their systems and buying backlinks will actually hurt your website.

The outdated theme continues when you see her training videos where she is showing you something on WordPress.  Her dashboard is from back then, and so a beginner would not be able to follow the video training to do what she is showing you.  You will end up searching for help elsewhere, which isn’t great when you are paying $27 a month to learn this stuff.

Bottom line is that Affiliate Marketing has evolved since 2003 and this course has not!

#2 No Community, No Support

You gain access to a members forum and private Facebook group, but don’t expect any support from them as they are pretty much died a death.  There is no activity within them, and you cannot get any real support.  But where do you go when you need help?

They provide an email address, but this can take time to get a response if you do at all.

You need a real community and support network, and after experiencing the awesome community with our top recommended training platform, I don’t think I would be where I am today without it.

The lack of real support to a beginner would really be a major hindrance to their progress and another reason why I wouldn’t recommend Affiliate Blogger Pro to a newbie.

#3 Tools are Not Included

You might not expect there to be any tools as it only costs $27/month, but this also means that you are going to have to look elsewhere to find website hosting, website builders, keyword research tools, etc.

Also, because the training is out of date, they might recommend tools that are no longer available or are not right for today’s affiliate marketing world.

There is just so many variables and because the training has not been updated recently, then you are walking into it blindly.

My Affiliate Blogger Pro Review

Our final verdict is that we cannot recommend Affiliate Blogger Pro to people wanting to get started with affiliate marketing, it is a course that has not been updated to represent the current world with regards to affiliate marketing.

If Rosalind Gardner took the time to update it to what affiliate marketing is today, I am sure our opinion would change and then more people would join it and the community would be worthwhile.  But there is no sign that is ever going to happen.

Rosalind did make a lot of money online, and I am sure she still does but here course is not going to help anyone get started today.  Even if you did learn some of the basics, you are going to have to pay for more training to fill in the gaps and then that shows that whilst it is only $27 a month.

It is a waste of money, that you could spend on a course that is up to date, offers a fantastic community and support network and provides all the tools you need to get started.

How We Make Money Online

I am hoping that you have decided that Affiliate Blogger Pro Is outdated and not really worth your money.

But, don’t let that put you off Affiliate Marketing.  It is the best way to make money online and there is a much better option out there to help you.

It will offer the best and up to date affiliate marketing training, tools, support and a community and it is called Wealthy Affiliate.

  1. It’s a shame that this course hasn’t been updated to keep up with the changing times. It’s rather astonishing that she is still taking money from people for a course based on material that is approaching 17 years old. Everything has moved on so much since 2003. The lack of any support makes it kind of worse than useless. I suppose, at least, there’s the long money-back guarantee. I wonder what Rosalind Gardner has moved on to now?

    • Hey Lisa,

thanks for checking out our blog.  17 years is a long time.  It has changed recently though as they are not accepting any new members.  But, it was supposed to have reopened in June and we are now in September.  It just seems like this isn’t at the forefront of her mind.  I still believe she talks at events.

  2. Nice and thorough review of Affiliate Blogger Pro. After reading your article, I would say, YES, it is definitely outdated and irrelevant. The price sounds affordable but the program itself isn’t even worthy of that I would say. It sounds and looks like a list of videos, outdated tips and stuff you could just google. I wouldn’t use my bucks for this program. However, thanks for reviewing it, honest reviews about money making programs and courses are always more than welcome!
    Kind regards -Jesse

    • Hey Jesse,

thanks for checking out our blog.  It does need a major overhaul to become relevant to todays affiliate marketing.  A genuine program that needs a little tlc and updating.

Sadly, I don’t think we will get that.

  3. It is through her that I first learned about affiliate marketing. I remember buying one of her physical books “Make A Fortune Promoting Other People’s Stuff Online” sometime in 2011. I learned a lot from reading that book and it is only now that I discovered she has this membership site for affiliate marketers and bloggers. Thanks for making a review, and I’d like to ask, is she retired doing affiliate marketing now? Have you seen her lately?

    • Hey Gomer,

thanks for checking out our blog.  As far as I can see, she still does talks and stuff around affiliate marketing.  It is just this course needs updating to become relevant.

      thanks

  4. You have made an in depth and vital information about Affiliate Blogger Pro. There is very important to upgrade information about internet marketing and use of different kind of tools and programs out there. Those changes in time.  Good work to compare it with Wealthy Affiliate platform. It give the beginners possibilities to compare for them self and make a decision which suits them best.

    • Hey Fred,

thanks for checking out our blog.  One of the key factors for us in any training platform that we review is “Is it relevant?’ By still offering information that is 17 years out of date, it is a no-brainer – Affiliate Blogger Pro is not worthwhile.  Especially when you compare it to a platform like Wealthy Affiliate.  It offers world-class training that is kept up-to-date and when you see that it has close to 2 million users and a very active community, it shows how many people agree with me that Wealthy Affiliate is the best training platform for affiliate marketers.

      thanks

  5. Thanks for took time and have clarified about Affiliate Blogger Pro program and explained about its background as well.
like you have demonstrated in your review,It appears that this affiliate marketing system once has had a great capability to convinced people to join the program learning the fundamental of online marketing.I am glad that they were not illegal,so called scammed platform-at the time had taught affiliate marketing to internet users in a right manner.
I liked your comparison between Affiliate Blogger Pro and Wealthy Affiliate. I have been working with wealthy affiliate for about 5 years now and I must stress that their job is truly remarkable.

    • Hey Shirian,

thanks for checking out our blog.  It is definitely not a scam, but it is not worthwhile, unless they update the training.  They might be in the process of doing that, but at this point there is little point joining.

      thanks

  6. Thank you.  I had been looking into this to see what I might be able to learn from her.  But, you were able to lay down the perspective for me on it.  I appreciate that you have shared that she isn’t up to date.  And looking into it more, I noticed that she really hasn’t said much about anything beyond 2003.  Things have changed quite drastically since that time online and she could upgrade what she offers.  I mean, her website looks like it’s been updated, but if she hasn’t done anything with what she offers since 2003, that’s not going to benefit anyone.  Thank you for sharing this.  It does look like it’s a complete waste.

    • Hi Kelly,

Thanks for checking out our blog.  I think we can all agree, it is the content that makes it worthwhile or not. I have seen plenty of websites with fancy homepages, but when you start reading the content it isn’t that good, relevant or up-to-date.  You can update the website all you like, but if you content doesn’t get sorted, then there is no real point.

      All the best

  7. Great review John,

I saw this the other day and though it does look interesting, I still have doubts that this program is still alive or not because it looks completely dead in social media, good to know it is! Article directories and listings, omg I still remember when I used to be so keen on finding the most active ones. Out of curiosity, do you think RSS is still used today, or is that slowly dying as well?

    • HI Riaz,

thanks for checking out our blog.  I think many of the strategies in this training are not relevant these days and that includes RSS.  Email Marketing, SEO & PPC marketing are all effective and then there is social media, but that can be a bit hit and miss.

The majority of traffic comes in through either Google or YouTube and that is really where you should spend your energy in.
